10 billion to provide Ukrainians with water: more than planned was allocated for the construction of water mains

The Service for Reconstruction and Development of Infrastructure in the Dnipropetrovsk region signed contracts for the construction of two water mains with a total cost of UAH 10.6 billion.
This is evidenced by the published data on purchases from Prozorro.
According to the first contract, until the end of 2024, "Automagistral-Pivden" LLC will build a 26.9 km long water main from the Ingulets River to the South Reservoir in Kryvyi Rih for UAH 5.32 billion. The daily capacity of the finished facility should be 400,000 cubic meters.
The terms of the second contract envisage the construction of a 76.7 km main water pipeline from Khortytsia (Zaporizhia) to Tomakivka and further to Marhanets within the same time frame. The capacity of this project should be 150 thousand cubic meters per day, and the cost of construction - 5.3 billion UAH.
The need for the construction of the specified water pipelines is caused by the "need to eliminate the consequences associated with the destruction of the Kakhovka hydroelectric station." On June 6, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that UAH 1.5 billion will be allocated for the construction of new waterworks. And at the beginning of July, the Vice-Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, Oleksandr Kubrakov, announced that the corresponding construction works had already begun.
Note that both contracts were concluded with performers without a tender. Both "Automagistral-Pivden" LLC and "Autostrada Group of Companies" LLC were the largest recipients of funding from the state budget for road construction under the "Major Construction" program in 2021 - UAH 23.3 billion and UAH 12.2 billion, respectively.
