"Ukrzaliznytsia" launched a single digital window for freight carriers: what problems will it solve

Ukrzaliznytsia launches a single digital window "e.Portal UZ-Cargo" to serve cargo customers. About 2,000 service customers and 5,000 users have already joined it.
This was reported in the press service of the university.
It is noted that from June 1, the company will stop using the outdated system "AS Client UZ", which was used by cargo owners since 2011, because "e.Portal UZ-Cargo" is a more modern and convenient alternative. It provides access to electronic services for organizing cargo transportation, ordering related services, as well as receiving information about changes.
The portal simplifies the procedure for concluding various types of contracts, approving transport orders, exchanging electronic documents and data regarding transport services, including for the resolution of disputed issues.
Unlike the previous system, "e.Portal UZ-Cargo" has modern means of protecting information from unauthorized intervention and hacking. Ukrzaliznytsia will continue to improve it and add new electronic services related to freight transportation.
Other services, in particular the Cargo Shipper's APM, which work through the reconciliation server, will remain available to users.
What problems will be solved by "e.Portal UZ-Cargo"
As noted in "Ukrzaliznytsia", the "e.Portal UZ-Cargo" system will help overcome the following problems:

  • ensuring the exchange of electronic documents and data with clients in the field of freight transportation and related services;
  • provision of a unified environment for processing and prompt storage of electronic documents and customer data;
  • tracking the status of transportation;
  • optimization of human resources and reduction of expendable resources;
  • minimizing the time for searching for documents and their passage between the carrier and the client;
  • bringing the relationship between the carrier and the client to a qualitatively new level.
We will remind you that in the summer of 2023 "Ukrzaliznytsia" launched a new electronic cargo forwarding service. This happened within the framework of the implementation of the program of digitization of freight transportation and improvement of customer service.
