Kyiv Mayor Vitaly Klychko promises to launch the Podilsko-Voskresensky Bridge in a few months.
He said this on the air of the "Kyiv" TV channel.
"If we don't have force majeure situations or circumstances, then in a few months we will launch the work of the Podilsky bridge," the mayor assured.
As reported, the construction of the Podilsko-Voskresensky bridge across the Dnipro began back in 2003, with interruptions due to lack of funding.
The road connection between the left and right banks of the Dnieper along the Podilsko-Voskresensky bridge was planned to be launched at the end of 2021, but it was not possible. Builders cited the coronavirus pandemic, the adjustment of the project of the left-bank part of the bridge crossing, as well as the opposition of the residents of Rusanivske Gardens as the reasons for the delay in the completion of the construction of the Podilsk bridge crossing.
