One of the largest American construction companies will help in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine's infrastructure

The State Reconstruction Agency and the American corporation Bechtel signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the participation of the company from the United States in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine's infrastructure.
The signing took place last week as part of the Ukraine Recovery Conference, which was held in London.
As noted by the head of the Reconstruction Agency, Mustafa Nayem, Ukraine's cooperation with the American company will consist of planning, development, design and implementation of engineering and construction solutions.
"The Recovery Agency and Bechtel Corporation will not only consult on the implementation of key infrastructure projects of Ukraine, but will also provide technical and programmatic support," Nayem added.
In addition, the parties will cooperate in identifying potential sources of financing for reconstruction projects, including private sector investments.
According to the signed memorandum, the cooperation will, among other things, concern the provision of technical services regarding key logistics and transport corridors of Ukraine, as well as projects to restore critical infrastructure, in particular, the Kakhovskaya Dam.
We will remind that at the beginning of February 2022, Bechtel Overseas Corporation won the competitive selection for the construction of the first section of the Kyiv bypass road (18-kilometer section from the M-07 Kyiv-Kovel-Yagodin highway to the M-06 Kyiv-Chop) with a price offer of 5 UAH 3 billion.
