In Lviv, they finished building the walls of a school using a 3D printer

In Lviv on the street Varshavska, 126, they finished building the walls of the school with the help of a 3D printer. It is about the construction of a new building for primary classes of school #23. This is the first school in Lviv and in Ukraine, which is built using the latest technologies - with the help of a 3D printer. It is planned to put the building into operation from the beginning of the new year. This was announced on Monday, July 10, in the urban planning department of the Lviv City Council.
As the general contractor said, the construction of the walls using 3D printing has already been completed, and the printer has been dismantled. Next, the workers set about erecting the load-bearing frames and installing the floor slab. Therefore, internal and external networks will be laid at the facility, and maintenance work will be carried out. Monolithic concrete walls will meet new safety standards.

"Walls printed with a 3D printer are not load-bearing. The walls now have frames for columns, which will be created according to the classical method. All the weight that will press from above (for example, the floor slab) will rest on the columns, not on the walls," the construction initiators explain.

According to the concept of the project, the educational building will have one floor, where classrooms, teachers' rooms, bathrooms and a hall with an inclusive space for all categories of students, in particular, with special needs, will be placed. It will be a building for an elementary school, where four classes will work. In total, up to 100 children will study here. The cost of the new building is $800,000. In general, the school should be operational as early as January 1, 2024.
According to preliminary calculations, the additional educational building of secondary school N°23 will become the largest educational institution in the world built with the help of such a 3D printer.
